THE LION KING JR.
(JUNIOR DIVISION)
Directed & Choreographed by Samantha Kemp
Disney’s The Lion King has roared its way into hearts around the world—and now it’s your turn to bring this unforgettable adventure to life on your own stage! Journey across the African savanna with Simba, a curious young lion who is learning what it means to grow up, take responsibility, and find his place in the Circle of Life.
Along the way, audiences will meet wise Rafiki, loyal friends Timon and Pumbaa, and a colorful cast of animals as the story travels from the heights of Pride Rock to the depths of the jungle and back again.
The Lion King JR. is filled with iconic songs everyone knows and loves, including “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “He Lives in You,” and the feel-good favorite “Hakuna Matata.” Through exciting music and storytelling, young performers explore important themes like courage, friendship, leadership, and believing in yourself—even when things feel scary or uncertain.
This show is also a fantastic learning experience for young actors. Performers will sing, dance, and act while developing new theatrical skills such as mask-making, movement, and puppetry, helping them use their bodies and imaginations to bring animals and the savanna to life. Most of all, The Lion King JR. encourages teamwork, creativity, and confidence—both onstage and off.
Get ready for big music, big heart, and a BIG ROAR of applause as your cast and audience celebrate this inspiring story together! 🦁
